An access log is a comprehensive list of all the files that were accessed by the visitors of a given website. Every single file that was requested for whatever reason shall be listed, so if you have one webpage with 3 embedded pics, one video and one embedded text file, for example, the access log will contain a total of six entries - one for any of the six files which were accessed when the site visitor opened the webpage. A log typically offers the file name and path, the date, plus the visitor’s Operating System, worldwide web browser and IP address. Occasionally you could also find the referrer websites that sent the visitors to your site. The information that an access log file contains is in human-readable plain text format. It can also be processed by special software on a laptop or computer and used to prepare reports on the performance of an Internet site, independent of the web stats your web hosting server may have created.

Access Log Manager in Cloud Hosting

When you choose one of our cloud hosting solutions, you'll get thorough access logs for all your Internet sites. Once you sign in to your Hepsia CP, you can go to the Access/Error Logs section in which you will see a full list of the domains and subdomains you have added or created within the web hosting account. You'll simply need to click on the On button, that is found on the right-hand side of each and every hostname and our cloud platform will start generating logs straight away. To disable this feature, you will have to follow the very same steps and click on the Off button. The domains and subdomains can be handled individually and at any time. You'll find a download link inside the Logs section of the Control Panel for every log produced by our system, so you can save the file to your computer system and view it or use it through some log processing software.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers

Our state-of-the-art website hosting platform will generate access logs for each site hosted within a semi-dedicated server account, provided that this feature is activated. All domains and subdomains that you have will be listed within the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia Control Panel, which we supply with all the accounts, so if you'd like our system to start producing logs for any of them, you should simply click on the small button on the right side of the respective domain/subdomain and switch the default Off option to On. You can stop this function anytime by following the same steps. You can find a Download link for every single log in the same exact section of the CP, so you can save the content gathered by our system in .txt format with just a mouse click. An existing log file can be downloaded even after the function has been deactivated, so you'll still be able to see the data that's already been generated.
